Finally!

For those of you curious in the French visa process, here's a brief but pretty accurate description:

~Fill out paperwork and send to France Immigration Authorities (mid September)
~WAIT
~WAIT
~Email to check in on the process
~WAIT
~WAIT some more
~Finally get an email saying your file is being transferred to the labor office in Paris (Oct. 31)
~WAIT
~WAIT....
~Send some more emails to check in
~WAIT
~Receive e-mail saying your work permit is approved and files are being sent to Consulate (Nov. 14)
~WAIT
~you guessed it...WAIT
~Schedule and reschedule appts at consulate while you wait for your paperwork to get there
~Receive e-mail saying you can go to Consulate (Nov. 28th)
~Houston Consulate--fingerprint, picture, paper work (Nov. 29th)
~And FINALLY:  PICK UP YOUR VISAS!! (Nov. 30th)

We're finally legal in France!!  We are so excited!  It was worth the long wait.  I have to give Nick a big shout-out here because he's done so much to check in on the process and make sure everything is moving along.  Now the real adventure can begin--packing, looking for a place to live, selling our house, cars, etc., etc!
