One Month, Four Goodbyes

This past month as been a sad one. We said goodbye to not one, not even two, but four different couples this month! This is an inevitable part of ex-pat life, but it doesn't make it any easier, especially when so many leave all at once!

Even though it was sad to see everyone go, we lucky in the fact that we are confident we will see all these wonderful people again, and hopefully often! Katie and Derek, the first to leave one month ago, are in Dallas, and Mallory and John are in Austin. We look forward to many Texas reunions in our future (with Maygan and Kyle as well). It's amazing how many people from Texas we've met here in France, and feel so thankful that this means more opportunities to see them again.
See you soon, Katie & Derek, Lindsay & Chris!
Coco and Bobby, who I met through work, are in London now, so hopefully we can squeeze in one more trip in London, but if not, I'm sure we will see them somewhere else in the world soon (maybe even Houston)! And Lindsay and Chris, who we connected with through my good friend Kim in the US, will forever be our Wisconsin friends. We already have plans for Badger basketball and football rendezvous {that word just seems weird now, knowing French} in the next year.
The boys say goodbye by playing video games together one last time
Thanks Coco for introducing me to this great group of ladies!
Of course, we said goodbye many times in the only way we know how, with picnics and dinners. So many wonderful memories with all of these people; I really feel our Paris experience would have been completely different without them, and I'm so thankful for all of them! Now comes the time where we readjust to life in Paris without them--our circle of friends is quite a bit smaller now, but still filled with some wonderful people, and I'm looking forward to making more memories with them before it's our turn to say goodbye to everyone. :(
